Do you want to be filled with the Spring of Living Water as we head toward Lent and then Easter? If so, Come and See with us as we watch The Chosen at 9:45 a.m. in the sanctuary starting this next Sunday.
“The Chosen is a television drama based on the life of Jesus Christ, created, directed and written by American filmmaker, Dallas Jenkins. The series portrays, Jesus ‘through the eyes of those who met him.’” (Wikipedia)
“We believe that if you can see Jesus through the eyes of those who met Him, you can be changed and impacted in the same way they were. If we can connect you with their burdens and struggles and questions, then ideally, we can connect you to the solution, to the answer to those questions.” — Dallas Jenkins
We will watch and talk about the first episode of Season One, “I Have Called You by Name.” You will be introduced to some of the main characters taken from the gospels in this episode. You will meet Mary Magdalene as a little girl and then 30 years later; Quintus, the Roman Praetor of Galilee; Nicodemus, a Jewish Pharisee, both concerned about Jews fishing on Shabbat (the Sabbath) but for different reasons; Nicodemus wife, Zohara; Matthew, a despised Jewish tax collector; his Roman centurion escort, Gaius; the fisherman brothers, Andrew and Simon; plus Simon’s wife Eden.
So COME and SEE….
