Winter 2024

book: The Seek Keeper by Diane Wilson

The snow is so lovely and peaceful when you are inside looking out at the beautiful scenes the snowflakes have made. The perfect activity for a day like this includes a comfy chair, a cup of hot chocolate and a good book. To make it even better, add some friends who have read the book and are eager to discuss it. Our Aldersgate book clubs give you this opportunity to gather with other readers to exchange ideas. Each month we meet at the church the first Wednesday at 1:30 pm or the third Tuesday at 7:00 pm.

One person from the group leads the discussion or a librarian from the Lincoln City Libraries will join us if we have chosen a book from the One Book, One Lincoln selections. We often read books from these selections but also are open to other choices that members recommend. We reserve books ahead so print copies are available at
the church the month before the discussion. Many of our participants are not members of
Aldersgate as the book club is open to all.

Here is the list of books planned for the next few months:
Feb. 7 and 20: The Seed Keeper by Diane Wilson
March 6 and 19: The Violin Conspiracy by Brendan Slouch
April 3 and 16: Have a Little Faith by Mitch Albom
May 1 and 21: Signal Fires by Danni Shapiro

Hope you can join us. Contact Shirley Hanley ([email protected]) or the church office for further information.
