Aldersgate Day: Strengthening Our Future
For 128 years, this congregation has been a place where faith takes root and grows. Since 1898, nearly seven generations have worshiped, served, and trusted God together. This spring, we are building on that heritage by introducing two traditions that will help sustain our ministry for years to come.
Celebrating Aldersgate Day – May 24
Throughout May, we’ll revisit the story behind our church’s name and reflect on John Wesley’s ministry—how he met people where they were and carried the church into the world. Like other Aldersgate congregations, we plan to honor Aldersgate Day every year as a reminder of our spiritual roots and ongoing mission.
Bolstering Our Planned Giving
In 2011, Aldersgate established long‑term investment accounts with the Nebraska United Methodist Foundation. These funds help care for our facilities, support ministry, and ensure that future generations can continue to grow in faith here. This May, we’re renewing awareness of this important part of our heritage and the future we are shaping together.
