About Me
Pastor Matt was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, and has lived in various parts of the Midwest, including Kansas City, KS; Boulder, CO; Estes Park, CO; and Fort Collins, CO. He moved back to Lincoln in the summer of 2002 and has predominantly resided here ever since. Matt graduated from Lincoln East High School in 2010. He earned his associate’s degree from Southeast Community College in 2016 and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2019. Most recently, he graduated from seminary at Saint Paul School of Theology in 2025.
An avid Husker sports fan, especially passionate about Husker football, Matt enjoys attending games. He also loves playing basketball, working out, biking, and spending time outdoors. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with friends and family, trying new things, and watching sports. Pastor Matt is personable, approachable, caring, kind, passionate, and has a love for good food.
He currently serves United Methodist churches in Denton and Pleasant Dale, Nebraska, and he looks forward to meeting you here at Aldersgate UMC in Lincoln.
