How you can help the Food Insecure:
The Pantry Shopping Cart in the Fellowship Hall. This is a place to donate non-perishables to those in need of food assistance. Items left in the shopping cart will be picked up after church on Sunday and dropped off at Eastridge Presbyterian Food Pantry on Monday morning. Eastridge operates both a drive- through food- box service and a walk-in pantry for the needy. You can also leave cash or a check in the metal lock box on the shopping cart. Checks should be made out Eastridge Food Pantry.
Food Bank of Lincoln– Our Outreach Mission Program for November. Non-perishable items can be left in the red wagon in the Sanctuary. Cash or checks can be left in the red vase. Checks should be made out to Aldersgate with Food Bank written in the subject line. Lincoln Food Bank serves as a collection and distribution center for Food Pantries and feeding programs in Southeast Nebraska. Our donations will be taken to the Food Bank at the end of the month – or whenever the wagon is overflowing.
Loaves and Fishes- Serves lunch to the homeless and food insecure at St. Paul’s UMC in downtown Lincoln. Also provides outreach and food to the homeless in Lincoln. Pastor Karen Lamb coordinates this ministry. Checks should be made out to Aldersgate with Loaves and Fishes written in the subject line.
